Should She Tell Him Again?

Author: Catherine

13 Novemeber 2006.......Molotov's haven

Her sleep had been disturbed again by another nightmare, the sound of shells exploding and screams in the dark brought her straight up. Blood sweat beaded on her face and made her hair cling to her neck as she shivered trying to grasp the dream. A hand reached up to caress the side of her neck and draw her back down to his chest.

I'm scared
So afraid to show I care
Will he think me weak
If I tremble when I speak
Oooh - what if
There's another one he's thinking of
Maybe he's in love
I'd feel like a fool
Life can be so cruel
I don't know what to do

She lay there looking into the shadowed darkness, pressed against him. If her heart would be beat it would be pounding as his palm stroked up and down her side. He moved in his sleep, curling the arm around her and pressing her closer to his side.

She closed her eyes and in her mind said all the words to Mol that she wanted to speak aloud but didn't dare. That night in the lab when she admitted she loved him seemed like years ago, but it was only a few months. In that time she had grown deeper in love with the Brujah. Trust and caring, he was so patient with her and she felt safe with him.

Should I
Tell him
Tell him that the sun and moon
Rise in his eyes
Reach out to him
And whisper
Tender words so soft and sweet
Hold him close to feel his heart beat
Love will be the gift you give yourself

He talked then of one he loved for years. He had given her all he was and she had died, left him here and gone. The pain she felt was so new it stung like the lash of a whip. She hadn't told him again of her feelings, she was afraid. Curling against him now the images of her nightmare pulling closer to the surface of her thoughts, she wanted to utter the words aloud but stopped.

Touch him
With the gentleness you feel inside
Your love can't be denied
The truth will set you free
You'll have what's mean to be
All in time you'll see

I love him
Of that much I can be sure
I don't think I could endure
If I let him walk away
When I have so much to say

Opening her eyes, she tilted her head slightly looking up at his face as he continued to sleep. Her hand lay flat against his chest, the cool muscled wall felt solid and safe. The things she wanted to say rested on the tip of her tongue and she kept silent, wanting to give him the time he said he needed. Time, need...trust, she could only hope that she was slowly finding a place in his heart.

I'll tell him
Love is light that surely glows
In the hearts of those who know
It's a steady flame that grows
Feed the fire with all the passion you can show
Tonight love will assume its place
This memory time cannot erase
Blind faith will lead love where it has to go

Never let him go

His hand moved as he shifted his head against the pillow. His arm tightened around her and drew her closer resting his chin against the top of her head. She let her lips curve into a soft smile as her eye lashes drifted down to brush her pale cheeks. Fingers curled against the center of his chest as she murmered softly for him to hear .."I love you Mol "
