Turns out D is one of the extended family, of a kind with more rural roots than most others. Interesting twist. (Note to self: Procure training in observation skills, when consistent with scheduling and ROI for said training.)

There is a common phrase "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Trite. What I really need at this point is something along the lines of "When life hands you Artistes with delusions of grandeur and egomania, make... something." I would say hamburger, but that lends itself more to the Rabble or the Outlanders than my particular branch of the family. I suppose I shall have to choose a more appropriate word.. Maybe "example." There, that sounds good. "When life hands you Artistes, make an example."

I suppose I'll have a few more ideas when the S&P and Regional Business Center reports get back. That foolish whelp, P, thinks I make appointments to see his kind? Well, I'll make appointments indeed. In my journal. For each thing he loses until he understands that I have been at this game longer than he has and that respect is the key ingredient in such potentially long-term relationships as ours.
