Wake Up Call

Paul's eyes opened, and he looked down at the page. His scrawling handwriting spread across the page surrounded an odd picture: an almost childish drawing of a cougar, with oddly-shaped hindquarters.

He blinked again, a sense of urgency filling him. He looked up at the morning sun shining through the window of his nearly bare apartment. Finally, some idea of what he was sent here for.

But why wasn't it Fenris?

He sighed, and reached out to pull the shade on the window so he didn't provide another peep-show to the people walking by on the street, then set about getting dressed. He had to go talk to Naydene, at least, and certainly the rest of the Sept.

As he slammed the door of the apartment and chugged downstairs to go find the others, the raven sitting on the ledge outside the other, unshaded, window ruffled its feathers, then settled back down.
