Police and firefighters were called out early Christmas Eve to battle a 3 alarm blaze in the Cheston Projects. The fire broke out on the 3rd floor, killing 3 people. Several others were sent to local hospitals suffering smoke inhalation and minor burns.

In related news, another apparent survivor was rescued from that same blaze by a mysterious blonde haired woman. The baby, called "Nikki" by Father Joseph Carelli of the Sacred Heart Church says that a woman giving a description of the fire rescued the baby and gave her into his hands.

Fire officials state that a cigarette was the cause of the blaze, and police are searching for the baby's apparent 'Angel of Mercy'...
