What a Hunt

Author: Seth

Tame Horror? Seth ground his teeth together in spite as he made his way from the Prince's study, and the Elysium. He made his way quickly through the house, not bothering to say hello to the servants, or anything. He stepped from the front door, and pulled the small car alarm disarmer from his pocket, aiming at his brand new black Porsche. With a faint beep in response to him frustratedly tapping the button, he made his way towards it, his shoes tapping loudly upon the asphalt.

After yanking the car door open, sliding into place, and roaring off of the property, he glanced irritably down at the stereo system, and slid in his personally favorite band, "System of a Down." He bobbed his head to the heavy bass rhythm, but the heavy metal music didn't exactly seem to help his mood. The stereo roared:

"I sit, in my desolate room.
No lights, no music.
Just nothing.
I killed everyone.
Now I'm away forever,
But I'm feeling better!"

Seth smirked a bit at that line, nodding. I can sympathize, brother. He felt the strong twinge in his stomach that told him it was time to Feed. He glanced out the window of his car as he roared down one of the side street's of the city.

"Mabye something sweet tonight..." He turned his car around, making his way towards the local teenager hang-out, "Nicol's Arcade." Something young and fresh tonight... something to sooth me. It didn't take more then several moments before he reached the rather popular Arcade. He knew of the place because his own daughter frequented it. His tired and frustrated gaze cruised over the large crowd outside the popular hang-out, and it took him a moment to see just what he wanted. A young girl that looked startlingly like his own little girl.

With a grim smile, he pulled up beside her. She appeared to be waiting for a ride. Perfect. He wasn't going to kill her. Heaven's know…that would be horrible. Just a sip, then he would let her go. He rolled down his window and smiled at her, hoping his charisma and good looks would get the young girl to trust him.

"Good evening, there."

She blinked and turned to him, casting him a nervous look. "Um... hello."

"You seem alone... need a ride perhaps? I'm on my lunch hour at the moment... so I could give you a ride if you want?" He cast her a friendly smile, but was still unused to this form of hunting. Oh well, best to try everything at least once.

"No... that's okay..." She cast a quick glance at a nearby police officer that stood in the crowd, breaking up a small scuffle, which Seth had yet to see, and the cop caught her glance. The police officer began to make his way over.

"You sure? It's really dark out... plus its late." He smiles softly, trying to calm her down. It didn't work however. The girl let out with a scream so as to alert anyone nearby that she was about to be kidnapped, causing the cop to break into a run. People all turned their head, and that’s when Seth saw the cop. Sh*t!

Seth swore under his breath and slammed down on the gas, roaring off down the street. He shook his head slowly as he watched the police officer not following, but attempting to calm the scene down. He'd have to be more careful next time...
