If I had any doubts about believing in Fate they were totally destroyed by the arrival of Sue. It was just far to much of a stretch to believe she turned up in an alley in my city by accident. Well at least now I had a fairly good idea how those creatures tracked me here. They must have been following Sue and chance landed her on my doorstep and brought them with her.

Damn but she's a mess. I've never encounted a mage in Twilight before. I heard of it of course, Julius was far to good a master to neglect that part of my training. Still rumour and truth are often different. She looks so fragile sleeping there.

That's probably why I made that promise. What a rediculous thing to do. Make a promise to a mad woman in an insane world that everything will be aright. Well I knew I'd start breaking the protocols eventually and I won't take it back. I violated my oath as a Hermetic along time back, in spirit if not in fact.

I'm so weary with Fate.
