Late October -- Night
As always Evan seemed to be in the dark about the coming and goings of his daughter Sasha. They were new in town, and she had already made herself known to the local kine. It was always that way.. Not that she was a slut, by no means, after all she is his little angel. But, there are those rumors. As if on a time table to some universal clock, Sasha walks out of her room, reeking of something she calls obsession. But to Evan its just some rancid scent that would turn his stomach if it could turn.
"Daddy?" Sasha calls out as she moves toward the kitchen, "Jacob, this boy I met a the mall, is coming for me in a little while."
That was basically all he needed to groan a bit, Evan wasn't the least bit thrilled with the concept of her and a stranger.
"Now come on.." Sasha mutters a bit, doing her best to wrap his will around her finger, "He won't bite me.. And I promise I'll be a good girl." She flashes him a smile and then takes a sip of her coke.
A slight grunt is all that comes from Evan, Sasha is anything but a good girl, but he couldn't tell her no. "Like that time with Stephen, Jeff and Raymond?"
She frowns to herself, "Aww No fair, how was I to know they were going to do that.." She smiles softly as she walks out the small kitchen and slides into his lap and lays her head on his shoulder, "Daddy, I'll be good, he doesn't look that bad.. I swear!"
How could he refuse? His only daughter sitting on his lap, telling him she was sorry, knowing all to well, that he'll probably have to bail her out the next morning. "When's he getting here." Evan places his hand on Sasha's back.
"Well daddy.." She gives him that all too innocent voice as the door bell rings. "Now?" If trouble had a sister, Sasha had to be it. She slips of Evan's lap and goes to the door. When it is opened Evan could catch a familiar scent on the air, just vague and light enough that normal people would miss it, but well he caught it. Fear.
Evan stands up and walks over to the door and looks at Jacob. "Daddy, this is Jacob, this is my daddy" Sasha chimes in. Evan takes another long look at Jacob, fear, how trite. Jacob meanwhile, didn't pale, points in his favor, but a slight stutter did escape him when Evan growled at the mention of a late night, and Sasha just rolled her eyes.
"Back early!" Evan grunts out at the boy and walks away. Sasha wiggles her fingers at Evan as she calls out, "home around 3 or 4" And the door closes. Evan looks around the apartment and then back at the door. She did it again.. "Damnit. Sasha." He rumbles at the room, as he sits down on the couch. "I'm too old for this.. I think."
