Sheila McNelley

Appearance

Shiela McNelley is a physically plain young woman who stands 5'7" and wears her blond hair in an aggressively short, fashionable bob. She carries herself with the conscious grace hammered into her psyche at the Farmer's Branch Ladies Preparatory School and most often speaks with a slight Texas panhandle twang. She can often be found wearing neatly pressed chinos and denim shirts with a timeless appearance; clothes that can be subtly arranged to suit almost any occasion or crowd.

Demeanor

First impressions often place Shiela in the category of boring, vanilla sorority sister, enthusiastic, vaguely pretty, and not particularly bright. There are some who have known her for years and see nothing else - but others who have gotten to know her have discovered a very different person beneath the carefully crafted facade.

Background

Shiela Lawrence McNelley was born January 2, 1975. She is the daughter of Louise and Guy McNelley and grew up in various communities in the state of Texas. Her father, an assistant state medical examiner, was moved frequently from town to town during her childhood. Her mother's inheritance - a substantial chunk of the Lawrence family cattle fortune - allowed Shiela and her brother to be raised in the aristocratic tradition to which their mother was accustomed. The fortune vanished like smoke in the late eighties. Shiela, during the fat times, competed as an equestrian and was the Texas girl's state champ for standing off-arm air rifle target shooting. She attended the Farmer's Branch Ladies Preparatory School and, later, public schools in Spring and Austin, Texas.

Shiela was awarded a scholarship to the nursing program at New Hampshire College in Manchester through Lawrence family connections, and became a member of Omicron Omicron Omicron sorority. In late June 1996 Shiela, drunk after an evening bar-hopping in downtown Manchester, waited for a bus at the end of the wrong alley - the alley behind the Black Squirrel Tavern, where a Sabbat Brujah named Tonto was waiting to kidnap a Catholic priest. Shiela, caught in the crossfire, received Tonto's contemptuous, spontaneous Embrace and ran, frenzying, into the night.
