A large man, roughly 6'2", who would be a stunning male specimen after a few months of working out in a gym. Frequently, he is seen wearing his green uniform, badge shining, looking like he knows what he's doing.
Out of unform, Neal drifts into blue jeans, with shirts and such that allow him to keep a variety of things in his pockets, ranging from tools to the trimline celphone.
Neal is a generally quiet and rational guy, exceedingly professional on the job. He is reserved and polite, until he starts talking about the paranormal. Then he becomes a sort of voracious zealot of sorts, espousing theories that you might find on the X-files. In a sense, Neal thinks of himself as a sort of Fox Mulder and will sometimes take on the character's mannerisms and sharp-dressed FBI-type appearance.
Abrahams has always been an odd sort of guy. He probably read too many ghost stories and comic books as a kid. This sort of blossomed into phases of general occultism, UFOs, psychic phenomenon, and other things that might be best seen on the cover of your local supermarket tabloid. The debut of the X-files, during the his later teens and college years, affected him strongly, inspiring him to a failed attempt to get into the FBI after college. After his rejection from the agency, he took his skills to work for the State of NH, and has been working with the Department of Animal Control as a wildlife control specialist/consultant to Hillsborough County for the last 11 years.
His great claim to fame in the upside-down world of paranormal investigations was when he was found unconscious behind the 7-11 in Derry. He can't remember what happened, but his truck was found, mysteriously abandoned, 7 miles away. Abrahams had been doing a follow-up investigation of a murder just outside of town. He doesn't know what happened between 11:04pm and 5am of the night in question and no amount of hypnosis has pried the details from him.
The incident did, however, convince Neal that the "Truth is out there." Most people wisely and keenly regard Neal is eccentric and harmless. The Supernatural Population of NH, of whom he is blissfully unaware, is both amused by and nervous about Abraham's antics.
